Sony Bravia 32” TV
The Sony Bravia 32” is retailed at around £580, an expensive price. Some say this is because of the ‘Sony’ brand but the hefty price tag can be justified by the fact that the Sony Bravia 32” is a Full HD television. The difference between this ‘HD ready’ televisions is that the ‘HD ready’ television needs a HD box in order for TV programmes to be viewed in HD. The Sony Bravia 32” already has a HD box installed and so all TV you watch on the Sony Bravia 32” will be in HD.
Picture Quality
The Sony Bravia 32” has a ‘Motion flow 100Hz’ feature which reduces blur on fast moving images by adding extra frames to the picture. This feature is especially useful in action films or dramas when the storyline and picture is moving really quickly. The Sony Bravia 32” also has a Dynamic Contrast of 80000:1. This means that the quality of the picture in darker colour scenes will be better as the brightness is increased. Brightness and Contrast work together to give a better quality picture.
Something unique to the Sony Bravia 32” is the ‘BRAVIA ENGINE 3’ a piece of technology that enables the Sony Bravia 32” to have better HD enhanced images.
A feature that most televisions have these days is the capability to share and connect with other devices in the room. The Sony Bravia 32” has all of these, it has Bluetooth, which enables it to use wireless Bluetooth headphones, and lets you view pictures, audio and video from your mobile phone via a Bluetooth connection. The USB link means that you can connect your computer to the Sony Bravia 32” and watch data from your computer on the bigger screen of your television. The Sony Bravia also has DLNA technology which enables it to connect to any other device within a household that also has DLNA technology. This is also for sharing and viewing pictures, audio and video.
Sound
Sound is obviously very important when it comes to televisions. The Sony Bravia 32” has Dual speakers with an audio output of 20W. The Sony Bravia 32” also has MPEG noise reduction technology and Voice Zoom. The Voice Zoom technology is for making fuzzy voices in films and TV clearer so you’re not reaching for the remote to change it every five minutes. The MPEG noise reduction technology works to keep the sound level at a constant, so if a loud section comes within a film the MPEG technology will reduce it. It also works with the Voice Zoom to up the sound level of quiet scenes.
Outputs
The Sony Bravia 32” also has many output jacks such as the headphone jack, suitable if you don’t want to splash out on noise cancelling Bluetooth enabled headphones. Just use your old headphones and plug them into the Sony Bravia 32”. The TV also has lots of ports for DVD players (unfortunately there isn’t one built in) and Free View boxes. The Sony Bravia also has many ports for connecting games consoles such as Xboxes and Playstation 3.
