Mobile Phone Free 19 Inch TV

There are usually a few deals offering mobile phones with a free 19inch TV, though they are perhaps not as popular as deals offering lager set sizes. Brands and features may vary, so be sure to check the model and spec of the television being ordered before making final payment. There are a number of 19 inch televisions available free with mobile phones at time of writing, one of the more commone ones being a Foehn & Hirsch HD ready WideScreen LCD TV.

19” Foehn & Hirsch HD ready WideScreen LCD TV/DVD

With a 19” screen, the Foehn and Hirsch LCD TV is ideal for a bedroom or kitchen as it can be wall mounted. It only comes in black and its sleek style means that it will fit into any home seamlessly  and at an RRP of £199 it isn’t exactly expensive. As an LCD TV this means that the picture quality will be triple that of any other non-LCD TV’s . And if that wasn’t enough, it also comes with a built in FreeView box, meaning that the TV is ready for the digital switchover planned for 2012.

The Foehn and Hirsch is also ‘HD ready’ which means that it’s ready for the introduction of High Definition television, however this doesn’t mean that the television you’ll be watching is already in High Definition. Television is now being shot in HD so when the time comes  for all channels to switch to HD this TV will be ready.

The sound is also good with automatic volume level control and double speakers. The sound balance is also reported to be good and the audio power 3W.

Some of the Foehn & Hirsch’s other features include ‘last channel recall’ which recalls the last channel you where watching when you turned the TV off last. This can be really useful if you mainly watch the same channel, being able to go back to it without scrolling through lots of channels can be a real time saver.

The Foehn & Hirsch is also affordable (at an RRP of £199) for a good brand. One of the best free features is the introduction of the new ‘Teletext’ to the Foehn & Hirsch. With free teletext weather and news reports are only a button away. And the response time for the Foehn and Hirsch’s remote is impressive too at eight milliseconds (this is good, but not as good as some of the equally priced products).

Summary of Advantages of the 19” Foehn & Hirsch.

  • It has an eight millisecond response time, good for quick channel changing.
  • The Foehn & Hirsch is HD ready which means you’ll be one of the first to get HD TV when it is introduced.
  • The ‘last channel recall’ feature for quick and easy channel finding.
  • Affordable at an RRP of £199
  • The Foehn & Hirsch comes with a built in Free View box.

Summary of Disadvantages of the 19” Foehn & Hirsch.

  • Even though the TV is ‘HD ready’ you won’t be able to watch TV in HD yet.
  • Only comes in black.
